Daniel Sarch is a multimedia journalist based in central New Hampshire. He specializes in visual media including photography and video production but also excels in reporting for special projects.
Daniel earned a bachelor’s degree in Photojournalism, with a minor in Music Performance, from the Rochester Institute of Technology. He was on staff at NorthcentralPA.com, the Evansville Courier & Press, and the Charleston Post and Courier as a photojournalism intern, and as a staff photographer and reporter for The Laconia Daily Sun.
In addition to his work in reportage, his storytelling often focuses on themes of family and childhood, as well as environmental issues, and addiction. In recent years, he produced a short form documentary video about Priscilla Richardson learning to cope with the loss of her son through her spirituality and raising her grandchildren. He covered the creation of a first-of-its-kind temporary homeless shelter called the “God Pod” by activist Kenzo Morris. As an avid birdwatcher, he has also contributed multiple stories on birds in New Hampshire, including documenting the conservation efforts for the common loon.
In his off-time, Daniel has a deep interest in exploring and documenting American music culture, particularly jazz. As a trumpet player born to two violinists, he has found music performance to be a perfect complement to the visual projects he works on and a creative outlet that further enhances his perspective on media production.
Daniel is currently accepting editorial assignments as well as event and lifestyle bookings.
